Chattahoochee River

Upper Section: This is the area from Buford Dam down to Morgan Falls Dam. It is a year round stream with rainbow and brown trout. This section fishing quite well during the late spring thru late fall. It has a unique feel and a tremendous amount of woody structure where the browns love to ambush prey.

Delayed Harvest: From November 1st until May 15 each year the section of river from Sope Creek to Hwy 41 is designated a delayed harvest section and is catch and release. During this time the fishing can be fantastic.
